Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-18 · Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Stream cut, a business operated by Ngninpieye Kenfou Armel and established in Cameroon — “we” and “us” below. By creating an account or using Stream-Cut you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.

Our address for legal notice is published with our designated copyright agent on the Copyright page. For anything else, write to hello@stream-cut.com.

1. What Stream-Cut is

Stream-Cut is software that records your livestream, cuts the moments you mark into clips, and stores those clips for you to download. It has two parts: an application you install on your own computer (Stream-Cut Studio) and an online service that stores and processes what you upload.

We do not supply the videos you react to. Stream-Cut does not download, host, search for or provide any third-party video. Those files are yours, they stay on your computer, and your use of them is your responsibility. What reaches our servers is your own stream recording and the clips cut from it, uploaded by you.

2. Your content, and the promise you make about it

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your files, process them into clips, transcode them, and deliver them back to you.

You warrant that you own or are licensed to use every video you record, upload or process through Stream-Cut, including any third-party material appearing within it. You are solely responsible for whether your use of that material is lawful. You agree to indemnify us against any claim, demand, loss or cost arising from material you supplied — including legal fees we reasonably incur.

This clause matters more here than in most services, and it is not boilerplate. Reaction content frequently contains material belonging to somebody else. If a claim arrives over a clip you made, it is yours to answer.

3. Copyright and repeat infringers

We respond to copyright notices as described on our Copyright page, which names our designated agent.

We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. An account that attracts repeated valid notices will be closed, and we may close an account after a single notice where the infringement is flagrant. This policy is enforced rather than merely published. Material removed under a notice is restored only through a valid counter-notice and the statutory waiting period.

4. What we store, and for how long

Storage is finite and files are deleted on a schedule. These periods are part of the service you are buying, and they differ by plan:

A recording's clock starts once its clips have been generated; a recording with no clips yet is not deleted, because you would lose the source before getting anything out of it. Downloading a clip shortens its remaining life to the “after first download” period above, and you always keep at least 48 hours after any download. Pinned clips are kept.

Keep your own copies. Stream-Cut produces clips; it is not an archive and not a backup service. We do not guarantee that any file will be recoverable after its retention period, or after a fault.

5. Plans, payment and tax

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Current prices are shown on our pricing section and are in US dollars.

Payments are handled by Paddle, which is the Merchant of Record for every purchase. Paddle is the seller named on your receipt, it collects and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT, and Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside these terms. Prices shown are before tax; what is added depends on where you are, and Paddle determines it.

We never see or store your card details.

6. Your free trial

New accounts get 14 days free, with no card required. Trial limits are in the table above. Nothing happens automatically at the end: if you do not subscribe, the account simply stops being able to start new sessions.

7. When a subscription ends

Whether you cancel or a payment fails, the same thing happens:

That last point is deliberate and more generous than most services. A stream you recorded while paying is one you have already paid to process.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Your access continues until then.

8. Refunds

Payments are not refundable. That includes:

We offer a 14-day free trial with no card precisely so that nobody has to buy in order to find out whether this works for them. Use it. By the time you pay, you have already seen what you are paying for.

Where the law gives you a right we cannot remove

Consumers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland and the UK have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract for digital services within 14 days. Nothing here removes that right where it applies.

That right ends once you have asked for the service to begin immediately and acknowledged that starting it ends the right. Subscribing to Stream-Cut gives you access straight away, which is a request for the service to begin, and we treat it as one.

Paddle's own discretion

Paddle is the Merchant of Record and handles every payment. Paddle's refund policy applies to the transaction alongside these terms, and Paddle may issue a refund at its own discretion — for a billing error, suspected fraud, or to avoid a chargeback — regardless of what this section says. We cannot prevent that, and we do not pretend otherwise.

Refund requests go to Paddle, not to us.

If something is actually broken

This section is about buyer's remorse, not about faults. If the service does not do what it says, write to hello@stream-cut.com and tell us what went wrong. We would rather fix it than argue about a month's fee.

9. Acceptable use

You must not use Stream-Cut to:

The viewer-submission feature carries its own rule: if you accept payment from a viewer to react to their video or to promote their product, the warranty in section 2 still applies to you, and any disclosure your law requires for paid promotion is yours to make.

10. The software on your computer

Stream-Cut Studio is licensed to you, not sold. You may install and use it on computers you control while your account is active. You may not redistribute it, sell it, or remove its licensing or branding. Third-party components and their licences are listed with the application.

Studio may update itself to stay compatible with the service.

11. Availability

We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted. We will try to give notice of planned downtime. There is no service level agreement and no credit for downtime.

12. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties.

We are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost or corrupted content, or any indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and the statutory rights of consumers in the EU and UK.

13. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or that we are required to act against. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your clips.

On closure, your content is deleted. Treat closure as permanent.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which version is current, and your account records which version you accepted. For changes that materially reduce what you get, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before they take effect, and you may cancel instead of accepting.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon, and the courts of Yaoundé have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.

Before going to court, write to us. Most disputes are a misunderstanding, and most misunderstandings are cheaper to fix by email.
